DAVID FRUMP

HOPE FOR HOKE

David was raised in Indiana and attended college at the University of Dubuque, in Iowa, where he earned a BA in Sociology and in Political Science. He later attended Salve Regina University where he was awarded a MA in Foreign Relations and the Naval War College where he was awarded an MS in Strategic Planning. 

He served 25 years on active duty in the US Navy as a surface line officer including seeing action during the Vietnam and Iraq Desert Storm conflicts. He was decorated many times during his career and retired in 1994 as a Commander.

After serving in the military, he was employed by a defense contractor in Washington D.C. representing them with members of the U.S. House and Senate. 

He then started a successful general contracting company building homes and barns. He is now retired from business and manages a farm in western Hoke County he has owned with his wife since 1987. 

For forty years, David has been married to Deborah Branson, who retired as a US Navy aviator and has just retired from teaching at Methodist University in Fayetteville. They have one daughter, Mary who was awarded a MA in teaching from UNC Wilmington.
